This week was an absolute whirl-wind and yet, it felt like it was NEVER going to be the weekend! lol
Boy! am I happy it is finally here :)

Friday on My Mind! ....

Top of the mornin' to ya! (I'm not sure why I said it like that - but it's fun! haha)

How was everyone's week?!?!?! - - Mine was pretty GREAT! compared to last week. :) 
You know the deal, here is my High Five For Friday ;)

1.) I think I conquered my battle with the baby spiders (sorry! - I'm not really that sorry!) Due to my new found friend it has helped me out a lot - Hopefully I am not calling this tooo soon! 
2.) Flavour Sisterhood this week was AWESOME! That is all.
3.) Sunday evening after volunteering I got to spend some quality time with my coordinator frand Vidya and (volunteer friend Clay came too - not pictured). We went to the Alamo for dinner! It was super fun since there was a surprise Rock Concert about to take place! (7 bands) We are showing how excited we were -  taking pictures with them in the background.  Rock on!
4.) God IS Love and Love IS Real.
5.) New Blog makeover - it's not fully finished but it will have to do because I am out of time this week. Have to focus on school!!!

UPDATE on the spider situation: I bought RAID MAX for Spiders and Scorpions - I owned my window sills, patio and front doors - Hoping this worked like a charm, will keep you filled in!

 

Last night was FLAVOUR at Fellowship Church - Grapevine campus; I was a little apprehensive at first because I didn't see many people I knew - but God loves to take us out of our comfort zones! I went with the "Singles" Influence Group! Let me tell you I am SO glad I did!! I enjoyed every minute. I met about 12 girls who I hope to call friends shortly.... they are all different ages ranging from 18-26 and we all have something in common, whether its attending school or a full-time job, thoroughly enjoying our beauty rest so much so we are running late some where, or just JESUS! ;) I can't wait to see what the Lord has in-store for our group! I believe it will be a very encouraging and God filled time. Can't wait to get to know these girls better. (they even prayed for my spider situation - lol #score)

Today I have my 2nd quiz for Lab and Lab experiment! Hope it goes better than last week! I studied more this week :) I want an "A". #prayersappreciated

Random Wednesday

Good morning Friends!

Happy HUMPS Day!:)

Frustrations I have been experiencing: 

So for the last 2 1/2 weeks I have been battling it out with baby spiders living in my apartment; they must like it better than the dirt and shrubbery right outside my windows. It's quite unsettling to find tiny spiders in your bed RIGHT before you are going to sleep thinking "I can relax and get my beauty rest" - well nope that is not what I have been thinking these past couple weeks - - - -  MORE like "are they going to be crawling all over me while I sleep? What happens if they get in my ear and lay eggs? This is NOT good! Lord, please don't let any spiders crawl on me while I am in this bed! PLEASE!" Yes, that's better. I have killed at least 15! & my apartment has been sprayed 2X! I requested my building be sprayed as well - who knows if that has happened. I noticed an accumulation of them around my window sills! SO hopefully my "AHA!" moment has lead to the death or end of my living with baby spiders!

BRIGHT SIDE -- they are baby spiders not gargantuan and no cockroaches or anything else and they aren't in my kitchen! (yet...) God's got me, I'm tryin' not to trip.

Random Wednesday - I think will start to be my new posts for Wednesday! It will be something Random! LOL so stay tuned....

Today's Randomness =  Do you ever think, "who will I meet today, what is the purpose of meeting them, is God wanting me to do something for this person or is He placing them in my life for a reason?" - leave me a comment if you have something to share:)

TONIGHT is Flavour Influence Groups! - I have no idea what is instore or what we are going to do.... BUT I'm excited.

I must also study for my lab quiz on Thursday as well as my first test that is scheduled for Saturday - what fun!

high five for friday

Good morning lovies! :) 

"it's Friday, Friday, evvvvverbody loves Friday! TGIF, Friday! Wahooooo"

That was me doing my Friday dance/singsong voice! lol Hope everyone's day has started off on the right foot! However, mine did not..... I woke up an hour late, was only about 15 minutes late to work, thankful for a boss that doesn't really care what time I get in if I let her know & my other two boss' (CFO & AVP) are out of the office! #score --- Moving on!

 So this week was a little rough, okay let's be honest just Thursday, as in yesterday. I had my first lab test/quiz/experiment, what could go wrong?! HA. never ask that question. I was stressed out because I had to have goggles for lab but I had yet to buy them, so the procrastinator in me waits until the day of to buy them before class. I usually leave work around 4:40pm to head to school -- frantically worrying if there would be any goggles left (yes, I worry about things I can't control) I got there about 5:20pm and there were TONS of goggles left, WHEW dodged that bullet. Okay, so I'm thinking I'm all good and prepared for class - so I go to change clothes, because you have to wear certain clothes to Chemistry Lab - whoknew - after I change clothes I'm finally chilled out and I can go wait for class to begin (this is about 5:30). I'm sitting there thinking and I realize we are having a quiz and lab over measurement today so I will need my calculator, well I dig through my purse and my bag and its NO WHERE to be found! I die - my face is burning, I'm getting anxious - my stomach gets this sick feeling. I'm thinking greaaaat way to begin your first grades in this class by being unprepared. So we get through lecture -- all the while I am not really paying any attention because I'm so nervous about the quiz and I'm in a rather foul mood, just because I'm very hard on myself. We take a break in between lecture/lab and when we returned for lab it was time to take the quiz; to my surprise Dr. Peterson had a stack of calculators waiting for us if anyone needed one. WOW, can I just say that the Lord always, always, always takes care of us even if we are doubtful or scared or worried or whatever the case may be and we I have got to learn this! I mean really I could have trusted the Lord to take care of it and saved myself a lot of worry, etc. Thanks for the lesson, I'm going to try my best to remember this the next time I get stressed out, scared, worried! (and really all of that wasn't THAT big of a deal - I just made it more of a big deal than it was - yes I know no need to point that out. Ha.)

1.) My new AbundantLife Day Book - 365 Blessings to begin your day. It's very refreshing, I bought it at the Source book store at my church a month ago! I love it! 

2.) New Earring from Etsy - LOVE THEM. I want more! (mine have gold backs) I've worn them 28394723874X okay more like 6X already.

3.) Okay - so first pair of TOMS & they are pretty amazing as well. 

4.) Getting to spend time with my sister last weekend! She never gets time off and she got time off last weekend and it was just really special! Happy we got a fun-filled family weekend! :) 

5.) I am obsessed with Vitamin Water ZERO - GLOW, Lemonade and there are others.... Try it out if you haven't! (not I'm not getting paid to say this)

Long Time No See... Happy Wed!

Shame on me! It's been a while since I have posted.... a couple new things have happened, an update is in order!!!! ;)

I started school since my last post, and man, Chemistry is just not something my brain is overjoyed to hear about.... when my professor is blathering on and on about atomic compounds, Dalton's Theories, Law of Definite Proportions and Law of Multiple Proportions and the difference between the two..... my mind just WANDERS..... it doesn't want to focus and make sense of what I am hearing, my mind wants to think about other important things, okay, STOP. My mind needs to focus and Chemistry is important. I have to figure out a way to make this exciting! So what am I going to do? You ask.... Well to be honest haven't got that far, just know that I need to like it and be excited about it. We have our first Lab Test Thursday, quiz AND Lab experiment over measure - we get to must wear goggles! Score. On that note, more to come after Thursday...

Last week my mothers mom turned a whopping 96 years young! I got to spend sometime with her on Friday/Saturday. It was a quick trip and I loved every minute I got to spend with her! Happy Birthday Alma Lee!

Saturday evening was the kickoff and my first time as a volunteer at The MIX NEWERA, it used to be on Wednesday evenings but has now moved to Saturday evenings after the service! It's from 6-8pm and there are free snacks & drinks! It's an exciting time to be in the youth at Fellowship Church - Grapevine and all campuses! I am on the "connector crew" which means that I greet all incoming traffic and try to connect with youth that have not been to FC before and get them plugged in and possibly meet some new friends! Drew Nguyen and Derek Donley are the youth pastors and they are absolutely great!!!! I had such a awesome time meeting families and their middle schoolers!! (is that a word? oh well I'm using it)...I can't wait for this Saturday to see what God has in-store!!!!!! :) Definitely humbled by the experience. 

I had the opportunity of speaking to an ED PA-C at Children's because of a connection I had made through my current job and I hopefully will begin shadowing her starting next Wednesday! I am sooooo excited! :) I. CAN. NOT. WAIT.


Flavour Sisterhood is this evening at 7pm and I'm psyched! I haven't been going a lot because I have been in school but now that I have school only tues/thurs I can!! It's an hour of time where women can come together and worship the Lord! :)


Hope you all are having a wonderful week so far! It's almost Friday, we can make it. My verse today is: "I saw a scroll in the right hand of the One who was sitting on the throne. There was writing on the inside and the outside of the scroll, and it was sealed with seven seals." Revelation 5:1 - The Lord has secured our future. Amen!
